Can not find "TMS320DM8168" item in the Device Variant of New CCS Project of CCS5.

Hi,

      I want to create a new CCS project for running on DM8168 EVM. But   I can not find  "TMS320DM8168" or any similar item to choose.

      How should I select ?

    Hi,

    Did you update the software? Try custom updating the software.

    Hi Gautam ,

       I did the update of the CCS 5. But there was still not DM816x or any similar one for the DM8168 chip.

       I don't know which device should be chosen for  a new CCS project running on DM8168 evm.

    The screenshot in your first post shows a older version of CCS. Is that CCSv4? In any case it is good you followed Gautam's suggestion to update to v5. v5 should have this support. Perhaps you did not scroll down enough in the list. Also try typing in "DM816" in the search filter field to the left of the list. It should be there.

    Hi Ki,

       My CCS is v5. It comes from the SD Card of DM8168 evm. I did the update and did scroll down to the bottom of the list. But Not found any what you talked about....

    You may be using CCSv5, but you are using a very old version of v5. You are actually using v5.0, which I can tell because I can see "helios" in the Eclipse splash screen, which is Eclipse 3.6. CCSv5.0 was a limited release for a select number of devices. Please update to the latest version (currently 5.4.0)
