System analyser/hardware trace missing in Perspective based on CCS Debug

Hello,

(target C6678, CCS 5.5)

I'm creating a personnalised Perspective based on CCS Debug.

However in the Tools menu : Hardware trace and System Analyser are missing.

In CCS Debug they are present.

I think it's a bug.
You can reproduce it easily :
On a new workspace, open the CCS debug perspective. Right click "save as" MyDebug.
In CCS debug : tools -> Hardware trace and System Analyser are available
In MyDebug : tools -> Hardware trace and System Analyser are missing

Regards,
Clement

  • Hello Clement,

I see this. It's strange. When you first create the new perspective and then check the menus... it is there. But once you switch perspectives or try to customize the perspective, it disappears. And i can't seem to bring it back via the "Customize perspective" dialog.

let me look into this further...

  • It seems to be a bug. This should work.

I filed a bug. The tracking ID is: SDSCM00048700

    Thanks

  • "i can't seem to bring it back via the "Customize perspective" dialog."

    Neither do I.

This bug is also present on CCS v6 bêta 1.

    Clement

By the way : what is more annoying is the "float" conversion missing in the memory browser (affects both CCS 5.5 and 6 bêta1). Do you know if someone is working on it ? I know it is in your bug database.

Looks like it is scheduled for CCSv6 final release
