Can't find C2000 launchpad device

So i decided to try out the c2000 launchpad. I had alreddy installed CCS before but i only installed the files for Tiva and MSP430. Now i am trying to use CCS with the C2000 but i can't find the device when i try to create a project.

Am i doing something wrong? I can't find a way to update CCS to have C2000 compiler

  • Hi Luis,

You will need to install device support for C2000. One way to do this is to re-reun the CCS installer you use to originally install CCS, and select the same install directory. The installer will detect that there is an existing CCS install in there and allow you to modify the existing install (add/remove). For here you can select the options to add C2000 support.

    Thanks

    ki

  • Unfortunately it seems that isn't possible for CCS V6. it asks me to use check for updates but i don't see anything for the C2000 there.

I checked and i have some of the C2000 but nothing of the family of the launchpad (and probably other ones missing too)

  • You should see something like:

then you can enable/disable processor support for specific families:

    What exactly do you see?

  • The problem was i was using a older version of v6 and was trying to install over it a new one. I uninstalled my version and installed the new one and everything works fine now.

    Thanks
