Problems trying to install Uniflash v3

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

I had multiple errors trying to install Uniflash v3 from within a CCSv6.0.1 installation. I was instructed at the end (after so many errors that I finally killed the installation) to ZIP up the attached files and send them to this site. I didn't see any indication of how to upload to this site, so decided I would try this post and attach the files.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jim Smith

Can you attach the screenshot of one such error window?

  • Here is a screen-capture of the error message. I followed the instructions and attached the ZIPPED Logs to my original post. I downloaded the Uniflash, that I attempted to install, through the CCSv6 APP Center. Since this failed attempt to install Uniflash, I have started from scratch, installed CCSv6 on another computer, and then successfully installed Uniflash via download through its CCSv6 APP Center. I would like to have this on my "main machine" without having to go through an uninstall/install of CCSv6. Not only is all this very time-consuming, I am afraid of disturbing all the workspaces and projects that I have active. Any advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks, Jim Smith

  • Jim,

I'm not seeing anything in the attached logs that explain what happened (the log claims it successfully installed!).

There should be no interactions between your CCS install and the Uniflash install and there should be no need to touch your v6 install to get this working.

My suggestion for how to proceed would be to download the full installer zip file  (from here), and install to a completely different folder (say C:\uniflash\v3.1).  If this still fails, please post the same logs that you did above and we will have a look.

  • AndyW,

I sincerely apologize for waiting nearly 1 year to say "Thanks".  At the time that you responded, I did try your suggestion to do a "clean" install to a separate directory, and I did get Uniflash working.  I thought that I had responded. For some unknown reason, I opened this thread today, and saw that there was no record that I had responded. So, belatedly, Thanks.

I see that the Uniflash version is now 3.4, but I have not tried it.

  • Thanks for the update Jim. Glad to hear it worked out.
