UniFlash Install Failure - Trying to Install on Win7 64-bit, UniFlash Version 2.1.0.00007

I just tried installing the UniFlash tool (Version 2.1.0.00007) on my Win7 64-bit machine and the following error pops up almost immediately after starting the process (see attached pic).

Please advise.

  • Hi Marc,

    what CCS version do you run?  Could you please send us the install logs?  These are in the installjammer registry directory, which may be hidden and is found in program files or program files(x86).

    ok, this seems indeed isolated to your uniflash attempt.   Some things to check/tips to check

    - redownload in case of corruption

    - permissions or antivirus issues/interference

    - what directory do you install to?

    - do you see a log for the uniflash installation?

    We have taken down the UnIFlash v2.1 build on the download site, as many people were reporting the same error you are seeing.

    We have identified the problem and will be re-posting the build as soon as it is ready. Please stay tuned.

    Thanks for confirming.  Also, I tried installing the previous version that the online link was changed to (v2.0.0.00013) and this install did not complete properly.  I deleted the "uniflash" folder in c:\ti, rebooted the machine and noticed a pending Java update.  I updated Java, reran the v2.0.0.00013 install and it was successful.  No time right now to verify if the Java update helps with the v2.1.0.00007 UniFlash install but I wanted to give the factory this information.

    Do you remember what the exact error was when you observed the v2.0 install not completing properly? I'm not sure what the cause of this is, but I don't think it is related to the Java Update you performed.

    Also, I'm pretty sure this will not fix the v2.1 (build 7) installation problem either. We are on track to post an updated build either later today or tomorrow that should resolve v2.1 installation problems.

    It just failed and stopped the process.  I cannot remember the exact warning but it was something to the effect of "components did not install correctly".  I hit the OK in the warning message and it exited.  I found the log files in my Deleted bin and have re-attached all of them to this post for your reference (includeds v2.0 and 2.1).  As mentioned in the previous post, right now it appears that version 2.0 installed OK today after the Java update so these v2.0 errors are from yesterday prior to the update.  Just wanted to clarify even if the Java update is not the root cause.
