License server compatibility for CCS floating licenses

We are decommissioning our licensing server running on Windows Server 2003 (end of life for the operating system) and planning to migrate to Windows Server 2012 R2. With that in mind I have two questions:

  1. Does flexlm license method works on Windows Server 2012 R2 for CCS floating licenses?
  2. We are  consolidating our servers throughout the company in a central location (the consolidated location is in MA). Can we use the CCS floating licenses from a server based in that location if all users are in Boulder, CO?

    1. Unfortunately I don't have a Windows Server 2012 R2 to fully debug the process shown at our wiki page. However, I don't foresee any major issues as we recently updated all the utilities and our daemon to the latest release available as of November 2014.

    2. Provided there are no specific firewall/proxy settings that prevent communication between client/server, and provided the server can be "seen" by all the clients, the different geographic locations do not matter.
