Is there a simulation mode in CCS 6.1 for the C6000 family?

1. I'd installed the CCS 6.1 but I can't found a mode for simulation. I'd like to try make software without DSK. Is it possible?

2. How is it possible to install drivers for TMS320c6455 DSK for CCS 6.1? Where from could I load them? I'd loaded a package from Spectrum Digital, but it seems for CCS 3 only. I work with Windows 8.1.

Hi,

1. No. Check: e2e.ti.com/.../343311

2. C6455 DSK drivers are bundled with CCS. You only need to select Spectrum Digital emulator support during CCS install.

On the target configuration editor, check if a connection named Spectrum Digital DSK-EVM PLUS exists.

If you do not have this option, check: e2e.ti.com/.../419331

Excuse me,
I have on the board two connectors for JTAG: USB port and Enhanced JTAG Connector. What JTAG I have to use?

Stanislav,

The USB port lets you use the on-board emulator from a direct USB connection from the PC.

The Enhanced JTAG Connector allows you to use your own external emulator pod. Do you have an external emulator pod of your own?

About the drivers, were you asking for C6455 peripheral drivers or CCS drivers that allow connection via JTAG?

Yes. But I can communicate with PC via usb-port only. I have no any pod.
