Tool/software: Code Composer Studio
I am attempting to install version CCS5.5.0.00077 and I am unable to get it to run. Please note that some file paths may contain typos in the log because the .exe was being ran from a network share.
Hi Brandon,
What version of Windows are you running (note that CCSv5.5 is not supported on Windows 10)?
Also, why are you installing CCSv5.5? It is an unsupported version. I would only recommend it if you are using DSP/BIOS or using the old C54x device.
Thanks
ki
Hi Ki,
It is being ran on Win7 x64. The reason I am trying to do CCS 5.5 is because there is still a need for it because its being used in support of Legacy devices.

Brandon,
Can you confirm that you are installing in a clean (empty) directory? If not, can you try installing in an empty directory?
Thanks
ki
Ki,
I installed initially, and received the errors:
1. Anti-Virus may be blocking the installer
2. Download may be corrupt
So I cleaned up all the directories it uses and deleted them, I uninstalled the AV software, and when I ran the next install, it was "Run as Administrator" and the directory was set to be C:\tinew based on the recommendation of another thread I saw as a troubleshooting step.
Thank you,
Brandon
Ok, thanks.
You mentioned that you were running the exe from a network share. To clarify, the install exe is not local to your machine but being run remotely?
Ki,
I did initially run it from a share, and then I transferred all the installer files locally and attempted again and it produced the same log file.

Thanks. Our installer expert has analyzed the logs and it appears that you are running into a known installer issue with one of the components. Normally a clean reinstall resolves the issue but clearly this is not happening in your case. We don't have a good solution for this other than updating to a later CCS version. If you must use CCSv5.5, there may be some other workaround that could work for you. Please start a private conversation with me to discuss further.
Thanks
