CCS/SM320VC33-EP: I have an emulator that is a PCI card XDS-510.

I have an emulator that is a PCI card. It is labeled as Texas instrument, XDS-510. Do you have any drivers for it? Do you have the pinout of the 25 pin connector so that I can make a cable to connect to the target board?

We had an ISA XDS510 and then later a PCI XDS560. However TI did not produce a PCI XDS510. I suspect that the product that you have is from a 3rd party that printed Texas Instruments on it. There were a lot of companies making and cloning XDS510s years ago.

Is this what you have?

You used to be able to find the cables on ebay.

Ah, it is an ISA XDS-510 in the old computer. I did not look to whether it was PCI and ISA, that is not my normal habit. Thanks for the picture of the cable. I guess I will not be moving it to my XP computer.

You may want to check with Spectrum Digital. I looking at their Emulator selector document they may have a XDS510 USB that supports VC33. I think they supported it with the regular XDS510 USB and not the PLUS model.

I now have te xds510 usb from Spectrum Digital. It has a driver and it installs in the setup. Then when I open Code Composer, 4.1.36, it is now telling me "Your Code Composer does not support the connected target. Device driver name : "C:\tic3x4x\drivers\tixdsvc3x.dvr". Do you know of any driver and CC combination that is supported for the xds510usb and vc33?

The combination SD 510 and Code Composer should be ok. It has been a very long time since I have used this toolset but I think the driver name for the spectrum digital 510 was something else. Can you send a screen shot of what your Code Composer Setup utility looks like. Also that error message sounds like we are checking if that device family is supported and it is failing to find what it is looking for in the windows registry. Ki-Soo might have to take over that part as I don't have a windows machine anymore.
