I recently upgraded to CCS 10.0 and ran into the same problem described in this thread.

When the .out file is loaded by the debugger you can no longer build because the file is locked. (error #10296)

I don't have any anti-virus running. The out file size is 15MB

This forces a shutdown of CCS every time you need to rebuild after running the debugger.

Please let me know if there is a fix for this. All of the threads I have found where this problem is described have ended with no resolution.

Hello,

Unfortunately we have never been to find the root cause and hence unable to find a resolution. Once thing I would like to confirm: If you shut down the debug session, does the issue still occur? And if so, and you try to manually delete the out file after the debugger is terminated, do you get a message that ccstudio.exe has the file locked?

yes to both questions.

Shutting down the debug session still leaves the file open by ccstudio.exe

Can you enable debug server logging and then build the program and load it to the target? Then terminate the debug session and attach a zip of the log to this thread. Perhaps the log will show some information on why the file is being locked by the debugger.
