PGA970: Meta-data cannot be interpreted

Hi,
In the sensors forum of PGA970 I was told to install CCS 5.x since this versions supports XDS200 and PGA970. I tried with 10.x before but didn't have any success because of missing support. Anyways after trying to import the PGA970 original project I got error messages telling me to install an ARM v 20.2 Compiler which didn't work for me. In this forum alot of people refered to the 5.2.9 ARM compiler which also didn' work for me. So I installed all ARM Compilers available in the "help" install new software" register. After doing so I got a new error which says: "See details below.
  Error: Import failed for project 'PGA970' because its meta-data cannot be interpreted. Please contact support."

I spent alot of time on trying to install a working software so any help would be highly appreciated.

    Adittional information which could be helpful. I'm trying to import the unmodified PGA970 Generic files which which worked perfectly fine with CCS10.x . However I was missing options which i was told to search for in this legacy version. Which isn't able to import the same project. So as indicated in other posts there shouldnt be any damaged files in my project since im using original files.
    Im running on Windows 10 and already tried running compatibility mode Win7 without any chance of success. Also I found the very interessting Bug that the Button "tips and tricks" completely deletes Code Composer Studio.

    CCS 5.x is very old and unsupported.

    Note that Scott is referring to the compiler version, not the CCS version:

    Which version of the compiler are you using? The necessary library may not be available for the currently selected compiler. The most compatible compiler version with the example firmware is version 5.x


    CCS 10.x fully supports XDS200 and PGA970. You can install and use compiler version 5.x with it. See: https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/users_guide/ccs_updates.html#installing-new-software

    Please try using CCS 10 with compiler version 5.x.

    Hello,

    What is the earliest version of the ARM compiler that is available to you in CCS10, where you have been able to successfully import the project? I would start there.
