PMP9766: Could we change the schottky to diode component on PMP9766 charging path?

Hi Sir,

Please check below figure for PMP9766 reference circuit.

Could we change the "D1" schottky to a normal diode component?

The purpose is to lower the super cap voltage level for capacitor life time extension.

If Vmain = 5V, VC level will be around 4.7V (5-0.3) when use schottky in D1 location.

If change D1 to diode, the VC level will be around 4.2V (5-0.8).
