We have designed the same PMP8944 in our project.
We have tested the device with nominal room ambient temperature condition(around 28 deg C to 30 deg C).
When we measured the temperature of the components, the secondary side components L2, T3 and C12 were about 70deg, 60deg and 73deg respectively.
Is there any thermal report for the PMP8944 design, so that we can cross check with our readings?
Test setup conditions:
Input voltage/current : 24VDC / 1.28A
Output load/voltage : 0.75A / 24VDC
Earlier we have faced some overshoot issues across MOSFET Q7 and Q6. So we have placed the RC and TVS snubber across Q7 and TVS snubber across Q6.
Will it create the hotspot over the secondary side components? Or is there any other possibilities to make the hotspot?
Kindly help on this.
