TIDM-02000: sec side snubber circuit

Dear Ti team,

Have a good day. Please review the picture below(TIDM723), I don't understand the snubber circuit function. Why is it via GND_LV and +12V? Does it include other functions for soft start or something?

Please let me know, thanks a lot~

Hi Sway,

I am not the original h/w designer. I think the snubber circuit here is to solve the resonant ringing voltage on the secondary side of the circuit due to resonance between leakage inductance of transformer and the stray output capacitance of the secondary-side rectifier switches.
