We have multiple users here who would like to use PSpice for TI mainly due to the specific libraries included.
Our current encryption and security policies prevent users from downloading and installing P-Spice for TI directly on to laptops.
The application is also single user, so adding this to an application server for use by multiple engineers is also out.
We are a large Cadence Allegro/Orcad centric corporation with licenses available to users for PSpice.
As we use the full PSpice application in house, would it be possible to have access to the libraries as an offline download I can make available to the users wishing to use TI components without having to download individual models.
This would allow for a centralized location of the libraries for easier access, and not have single or outdated models existing on individual user's hard drives.
It would allow for more consistency, speedier development, and the ability to reuse and distribute the simulations easily within departments.
Thanks in advance,
Carl Goldenbusky
Hi Carl,
I have 2 options for you.
1) Have someone (maybe from IT) install PSpice for TI. That installation will have the library which then can be shared. That user would need to periodically launch the tool to look for updates (maybe weekly)
2) Download the library.zip file. This will be static. You'll have to go back periodically and pull the library manually. https://software-dl.ti.com/pspice/esd/models/library/library.zip
David
Thank you David
I was looking for the download I think that would work for us.
