TPS43061: TINA Simulation Reference Design(SLVM758.TSC) not working correcting

Part Number: TPS43061
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Tool/software:

Downloaded simulation model 'TPS43061 TINA-TI Transient Reference Design(SLVM758.TSC)', ran 'Calculate nodal voltages, and output voltage is 8.21v, not 15v. Any ideas what might be wrong?

  • Hello JK,

Thanks for reaching out to us via e2e.

Obviously, the booster is not active (FETs not switching), so the input voltage will go across the body diode of the high-side FET
and charge the output capacitor to a voltage that is about a diode drop lower than the input voltage.

The screenshot shows that V2 which is connected to the EN pin is sitting at 0V.
In this case the boost controller will be inactive.

    Best regards
    Harry

  • I realized the nodal analysis is measuring at t=0 and the values shown at this time are correct.
