my customer would like to use the TPS54x60 and can use just ceramic capacitor for this design. Is there a switch or something else to select ceramic capacitor?
thanks a lot for your response. It's a general question. If you are designing a power supply at webench with TPS54160, you have to use ceramic caps. It would be very helpful, if you have a filter for e.g. ceramic capacitor. This helps to find the right cap. Is this possible with webench or this feature planned?
My customer has requested a feature in webench that would restrict capacitors shown in webench simulations to be ceramic capacitors only. He plans to use the TPS54360. Is thsi feature an option in webench?
Yes it is possible to do this. We recently introduced a feature called "Advanced Options". To access this, ask the customer to enter the specifications in the main panel on www.ti.com. Then you should see the page we call Visualizer which has several solutions. In this page, under the "Change Inputs" section, click on "Use Advanced Options". This will bring a popup which will have a "Component Selection" section. Under this selection, there should be an option to select ceramic capacitors only.
