Hi,
I'm using the TINA-TI V9 to create a schematic with UCC39002, and although I was able to create custom components via "Schematic Symbol Editor" and save them in .DDB but do I need to save it in .TSC in order to open it in "Schematic Editor"? and if so, how can I do that?
I tried to open the "New Macro Wizard" from Schematic Editor but it shows a complete different menu (see attached TT screenshot) then the page 31 tutorial in the attached.

Timothy,
There is no model for the UCC39002, so you cannot simulate it using TINA-TI.
The New Macro Wizard is a tool to import existing PSpice models into TINA-TI. It allows you to create a symbol for the model, assign the connectivity, and place it in a schematic. The wizard creates a .TSM file that stores the model association, connectivity, and symbol information.
The schematic editor can create a symbol for you, however, you will need a model to associate to it if you plan to simulate the part, which is what a .TSC file is used for in TINA-TI. The >DDB file is where TINA stores symbol information that can be associated to the model.
The custom .DDB file that you created is not in the default .DDB file that the new macro wizard uses. You would have to add the symbol to the TEXAS.DDB file located in your installation on TINA-TI (normally, Program Files/DesignSoft/TINA-TI/) for the new macro wizard to use it. Once again, you will still need a model for the device to use the wizard.

Hello,
I try to create new symbol for STD03N/P. I did all step to step these flow but ı couldn't see my symbol at step 32.It is not appear right side.I edited the existing one symbol then i draw my own one but it is not appear right side like step 32.3122.8726.How to Tina MacroModels_revA.ppt
Could help me about it please ?
Hi Novel,
For now you can use Auto-generated Shape option and create the macro from the library file, save it in a known location. Later you can insert it into the schematic and edit the symbol and save it back in the same location.
Please let us know if you face any issues.
Thanks!!
