TIDA-00550: Changing input voltage range and power

Part Number: TIDA-00550
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5160, LM5017, TIDA-00661

I have an application that will be very close to TIDA-00550, except for two changes:

  • Input voltage range is 12-36VDC
  • I need to supply more power than is available through the transformer.

I was thinking of using the LM5160 instead of the LM5017, and use the DC-DC converter from TIDA-00661. Are there any issues with redesigning this to accept 12-36VDC?

Thanks,

Caleb
