TINA/Spice/INA114: Irregular Circuit Error

Part Number: INA114
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hello

I'm getting an irregular circuit error when I want to do a transient analysis and AC analysis.  It shows a floating pin error at my capacitors but I connected it to the voltage generator, not sure why it would be floating.  I want to find the frequency response of the circuit.  Please see the image below for my circuit.

Thanks!

  • Michelle,

Your VG1 is floating, so the simulator cannot decide the absolute voltage on node 10, althgou it knows the difference between 10 and 11.

You can tell the simulator to start with zero initial conditions (option 3 on the transient analysis form) but it may not be what actually is going on, plus it won't work for the AC sim as it too needs to find the operating point. Please think what you want those nodes to be and design a source circuit that is grounded and provides the excitation to your circuit.

    Regards,
    JC
