Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models
Hi,
I'm trying to generate -28V from +28V input, I used TI's reference design of LM5576, when I run the spice model on TINA, the transient simulation is not progressing after 30%.
I'm attaching my spice design file.
Thanks,

Hi Vinayak,
Please refer to the following post. The TINA-TI model has not been converted to support the inverting configuration yet. Can you use the PSpice model which does support the inverting configuration?

HI Vinayak,
We are not allowed to install Win RAR for now. I am checking with our IT team if we can do this, but in the mean time, it would be better if you can upload the TSC file directly or if you do need to compress it, please use ZIP instead.
Vinayak,
I was able to unzp it now. I looked at your schematic and here were a few issues:
(1) Use Pulse source for input (not DC) and/or choose the option "Zero Initial Values" before running the transient simulation.
(2) Component values did not look right - for example 1mH for filter inductor seemed too high, SS cap was also too high to see the results of startup in a reasonable amount of time.
(3) Diode model used to connect to Is pin was not correct. I copied it from the LM5576 TINA-TI model on the web.
With these changes the sim is running and giving expected results. The component values I used are for -15Vout (matching PSpice). You can use this as a starting point and change the values to your end needs.
