WEBENCH® Tools/LMZ31704: Incorrect Rset in Webech simulation

Hi ,

When simulating LMZ31704 with Vout =1.8V and any Iout the automatically chosen Rset is 732 ohm while form the data sheet (table 2 page 11) the value for 1.8V should be 715kohm.

I can change it  by myself but wonder why lower output voltage is chosen by default?

    Hi Sebastian,

    I assume you mean 715ohm and not 715kohm. You are right about the value not being exact. With 1.8V Vout, according to equation 1 on page 11, Rset should be 0.715kohm or 715ohm. The table 2 on page 11 suggests the same value as well. In WEBENCH, we are picking 732 ohm which is due to a range on Rset from 715 ohm (680-750) and it ended up picking 732ohm but it should pick 715ohm. We will get this updated in the tool. Thanks for your feedback.
