TINA/Spice/TINA-TI: Cannot create file

Part Number: TINA-TI

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

I'm trying to run a transient analysis of my circuit but I get an error message saying I cannot create the file because it is in use by another process. I have already changed the environment variables as stated in this link:

http://e2e.ti.com/support/tools/sim-hw-system-design/f/234/t/741327?TINA-Spice-Tina90-TIen-9-3-150-328

After the first time, it started working for good while, then suddenly I had that same problem pop up and after trying change the environment variables like I did last time I was unsuccessful. I downloaded Tina over 3 times now but no luck.

Please help. I have uploaded my schematic just in case anyone needs to see it

  • Hi Ricardo,

Could try to upgrade your TINA to the recent one? http://www.ti.com/tool/TINA-TI version v9.3.200.277 SF-TI .

If this still does not help your problem. I would recommend to restart or log off or log in your computer or if you know specific process in task manager that potentially binds your file, then you can kill that process. But if you don't know, at least try to log off and log in to your computer or restart your computer.

If this still does not work, since this is very software specific, we can do very limited support due to our expertise. In that case, I would recommend to go directly to TINA vendor, designsoft and ask them for direct help over: https://www.tina.com/ -> Support.

    Regards,
    Herman
