Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28950
Hi,
Looking for T2 Transformer details ... BOM and Schematic do not have any details.
Also "Excel Design Tool" for this design will help.

Hi Mangesh,
PMP20657 contains custom transformers and inductors from Payton Planar. The part numbers are in the BOM. Please contact Jim Marinos at Payton, Jim@PaytonGroup.com

Even turns ratio is not known to TI?
What was Spec given to Payton for designing transformers?
Mangesh, the owner for this Power design is currently on business travel and will get back to you. Please allow 1-2 business days for a reply to your follow up question.

Hi Mangesh,
Here are the specs that were provided to the vendor. Anymore information will have to come from the vendor directly.
Transformer:
Topology: Phase Shifted Full Bridge
Input: 36-60V, 48V,nominal
Output: 12V@42A
5-Turn primary, center-tapped secondary with two two-turn windings
300kHz operating frequency on primary. Secondary inductor sees 600kHz
500Vdc isolation (or smaller if it enables a smaller size)
Ambient temperature max 80-100degC
Heat-sinking and forced air cooling will be provided
Can you estimate the magnetizing and leakage inductances and provide us the values?
Inductor:
1uH, 42Adc, >58A saturation
Thanks,
Ryan
Rayan,
Thanks for information
Can you share Excel calculator "SLUC222D.xls" for this Design?
Mangesh
Hi Mangesh,
SLUC2223.xls was not used for this design. Power Stage Designer 4.0 was used. You can plug the values in there for a phase shifted full bridge. It is a free tool http://www.ti.com/tool/POWERSTAGE-DESIGNER
Thanks,
Ryan
