Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools
Hey all,
I have a customer that is looking for a low cost buck converter that can take a 23 V input and output 1.2 V @ 200 mA. I'm recommending the the TPS560430 for his applications but I tried simulating on Webench using the following specs; Vin: 8-36V, Vout:1.2V, Iout:0.2mA and ambient temp:30C and the design pops up that it cannot be created. All of these are within the operating specs of the device so is there an issue with Webench? Thanks for the help

Hi Stephen,
Please note that as per the design error, the device is violating minimum ton condition.
The min-ton for the device is 60n as per the datasheet. For the above condition, the min-ton is
min-ton = Dmin / fsw
= 0.036/1.1E6
=32.7n
Let me know if this resolves your query.
Thanks and Regards,
Atul
Thanks for the help Atul. I was pulling it up from the product page so all I got was a blank screen that the design didn't work but that makes complete sense.
