PMP6712: Seeking more help for slua81-PMP6712 reference design

Part Number: PMP6712
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28950, UCC28951

Hello.

    sluua81-PMP6712.pdf

     I need to design a DC / DC power supply with a rated 48V, an input voltage of 38V ~ 58V, and an output of 50V / 20A / 1000W.

     I want to refer to the PMP6712 design case you provided. In this case, the DC / DC power supply specifications are 38V ~ 60V, and the output is 54V / 15A / 810W.

     Your reference cases have helped me a lot.

     Due to the urgency of the boss in this case, I have not done a similar circuit before, and it takes a certain time to learn to digest and then make a prototype. I wonder if I can ask for more help:

     1. Whether a 50V / 20A / 1000W development board can be customized, the cost can be negotiated.

     2. How can I buy the PMP6712 development board if it cannot be customized?

     3. If the PMP6712 development board cannot be purchased, I change the design by myself. What parameters do I need to change?

     4. Can you provide a more detailed calculation design book and simulation model for the design case? I found other calculation and simulation cases based on UCC28950 on the official website, but no PMP6712 calculation and simulation data.

     The PMP6712 design case you provided has helped me a lot, but the development time of this case is too urgent. If you can give more support, it will better promote the development and production of this product.

     Thank you!

  • Dear Sir,

    1) for a customized design please contact your local Texas Instruments field contact;
    if biz case is promising and probability of win seems good TI could consider a custom design.
    But our workload needs to be justified by biz case.

    2) we are not selling any reference designs; these are no EVMs.

    3) for bigger output power the power stage needs to get bigger, too - especially transformer and inductor.
    but PMP6712 is capable of 48V/35A 1.7kW by using two interleaved power stages.

    4) please download TI Power Stage Designer ver4 to work on 3) and get familiar w/ topology;
    typically you won't find any simulation data for our designs; we're just calculating and building them.

    It will be very hard to build a 1kW full bridge converter w/out any experience in power electronics;
    furthermore for a new ground up design I would use UCC28951.

    Best regards, Bernd
