PSPICE-FOR-TI: Installation aborts/does not finish (no error message)

Part Number: PSPICE-FOR-TI

Hello,

I am trying to install the PSPICE for TI tool. Installation process works up to this point, then the window suddenly closes without any error message:

In the cadence folder, i only see this file:

We tried installation with and without admin rights, but the same error appeared. I am running on Windows 10.

Do you have any suggestions what we should try?

Best regards,

Karina

  • Hi Karina,

We are looking at this issue. Will get back to you by Friday.

    Thanks,
    JC

  • Dear JC,

    thank you already in advance.

    Best regards,

    Karina

  • Karina,

This has been forwarded to the developers.

Will get back to you by Friday.

    Thanks,
    JC

  • Karina,

R&D said they haven't found anything yet. Is this still a problem?

    Thanks,
    JC

  • Hi Karina,

The developers want you to try the following steps as it appears that the system policies do not allow the hashing/encryption algorithm being used to verify the checksum.

    1.   Open Windows Control Panel->Administrative tools->Local Security Policy

    2.   On the left hand side column, select Local Policies->Security Options

    3.   On the right hand side column, select System Cryptography: Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing and signing. Double click on this and set it to disabled if it is enabled.

    4.   Restart the machine and perform installation again.

Let us know if this works.

    Thanks,
    JC
