TIDA-01426: Analog DCAC solution using TL494

Hi team,

Customer wants to use this reference design in their DCAC project. They want to use total analog device to achieve DCAC.

The requirements are shown as below:

Input: 3s Li battery;
Output: 220VAC
Output power: About 100W.

Can this reference design be used in the project if using suitable MOSFET and transformer? Or is there any better solution? Thanks.

Hi Yuting,

After revieiwing the design and other avalible content on TI.com around this application, I think this TI design would be a suitable starting point There would need to be changes made to some of the components as you stated. Section 2.3.1.2 does have a table of equations which can be used as a starting point for modifying the transformer portion of the design to best suite your need. Throughout the guide, there are also well detailed explanations and reference equations to use for working through these modifications based on your requirements mentioned above.
