Hi everybody!
I've just purchased Connect Blue OLP425-16i, with CC2540 installed on it.
The problem that is frustrating me is the CC Debugger, with red LED on.
I followed this manual, in order to start programming the module:
http://support.connectblue.com/display/PRODBTPLA/cB-OLP425+Development+Kit+Getting+started
As suggested, I installed BLE-STACK, extracted SDK for OLP425 inside the BLE-STACK folder.
As it showed on the picture below, through USB I connected my CC Debugger to the adapter board with JST output and I connected it to the module.
The Adapter board is provided by Connect Blue. JST/JST cable is the simple crossover cable which I purchased from the local store.
My CC debugger could be seen on the TI Flash Programmer, where I updated it's software, however the red LED is still on.
The OLP425-16i should start the pre-loaded demo application, when the power is connected and blink it's green LED, but it does not.
Moreover BLE-Stack cannot recognize the COM port, showing that there are no ports connected. However, when I try to connect my Arduino to the same port it is recognized.
What am I doing wrong?
The main problem for me is that there is no proper step-by-step guide, which I can follow.
ps. My OS is Windows 7, 64 bit.
I would suggest you to check if the 3V power is provided by CC Debugger without problem on OLP425 first. If there is no power on it, the LED will keep red on CC Debugger.
Make sure that you have connected the JST to JST crossover cable as shown in the picture or install the battery (but don't do both).
The CC debugger should blink green if the module is connected properly and powered on.
