I am having the same problem as this [unanswered] question: https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless_connectivity/bluetooth_low_energy/f/538/t/612970. hmm, part of question got lost!

What I said was that I am also only seeing 1 dynamic task and 1 static task found. My code base is Simple Peripheral, and the tasks are instantiated with Task_construct, which are static tasks, right? Is there something I missing re: getting the two task lists?

As an FYI, during a debug session in CCS, you can go to Tools > Runtime Object Viewer > and view the state of your tasks by clicking "Task".

Hi Evan,

Thanks for the link. I see the difference now. Like the other post, I want to be able to see the task info during runtime (and when the debugger is not enabled). I do not know if there is a way to access that third type of tasks (i.e. second dynamic)--ROV can find them, so there must be a list somewhere--but my workaround was just to make all the Task_Struct variables global. Not particularly elegant or expandable, but it will do for testing purposes.

Have you checked out the TI-RTOS Basics Lab in SimpleLink Academy?

From the section "Debugging Features and Tools" and down, it describes how to set up the TI-RTOS kernal to use the UIA and allow you to do Task profiling to see when your threads are blocking/running.

Unfortunately, we do not immediately make this available with the TI-RTOS kernal running on ROM as logging and the UIA is turned off in the version of TIRTOS that we have in the ROM of the CC2640R2. The lab above shows you how to work around that.
