Hi
I want to connect my CC2650SDK SensorTag ( and my CC1350SDK SensorTag) to my IBM BlueMixFree account.
How do I populate the data/credentials in the cloud setting dialog ?
I am using SensorTag v5.4.0 Build 47 on Android.
Thanks
Peter

Hi Chen
Thanks, but I was aware of these documents. Also, they refer to an outdated SensorTag app.
I tried to use these instructions but as soon as I activate the cloud upload ( with the slider button) that app window closes and I get back to the
main screen. Then the SensorTag will not be listed anymore and I have to restart the SensorTag as well. This doesn't happen as long as I use the IBM IoT Quickstart default.
Also there is another problem: the cloud settings seem to be shared across different devices, so I can't set a separate deviceID for each device.
Thanks
Peter
Hi,
I am still waiting for a response. However, reviewing your post I got curious at the statement: "This doesn't happen as long as I use the IBM IoT Quickstart default."
I am not certain the out of box software supports use cases beyond the IoT quickstart.
Hi Joaqim
Here is a screenshot:
as you can see, the software is meant to support the IoT platform. Also , in the meantime I checked the params (credentials) with a Java MQTT client so I am quite sure they are correct.
I think the app has a bug as it crashes as soon as I activate the cloud upload.
Thanks
Peter
Hi Joaqim
IoT Quickstart is a no-registration service provided by IBM. The only thing you can do with this is to validate that your device can send data to the IBM cloud platform (via MQTT). IoT Platform requires registration and selection of a (possibly free) plan. This allows you to add a database, build a GUI (for example with node-red) and have a continuous integration toolchain, amongst many other options.
So to do anything useful with TI SensorTags , this is what you need. As opposed to the IoT Quickstart setting, you must provide your credentials before you can use IoT Platform, as I have shown in the screenshot.
Thanks
Peter
