LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1: Cannot use BLE packet sniffer 1.9

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH, CC2652RB, CC2652R

Hi
I've the exact same issue than the post mentioned below ;

https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/zigbee-and-thread/f/zigbee-thread-forum/962766/launchxl-cc26x2r1-ti-packet-sniffer-2-error-sending-message-message-response-timeout

My Silicon revision is E, I'm using BLE packet sniffer 1.9, Launch XL was erased then programmed with the sniffer firmware.

Any idea ?

Thanks

  • Check if the UART TX/RX related jumpers between XDS110 and CC26x2R1 on your LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1 are well connected.

  • Jerome,

    In addition to Yikai's suggestion below, when you are flashing the firmware can you set Uniflash (or CCS) to erase all unprotected sectors? I wonder if SNV information is somehow causing some interference on the normal operation.

    Can you also try to unplug any other serial devices from the USB and retry? Although a long shot, I have seen rare circumstances where multiple USB-to-UART adapters caused some application software to be confused.

    I did not have any trouble with my board here - I tested both CC2652R and CC2652RB devices on both BLE and 802.15.4.

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael

  • It works now.
    I was using CC2652R firmware rather than CC26x2R1 firmware...
