. We are designing a new replacement product and we may be able to keep using CC8520, but we need to add support for a new feature to send wireless MIDI over the “data side-channel.”
The maximum data rate would be a maximum of 30kbit/s, and in practice probably much lower than this. We are curious whether TI has any source code to support usage of the “data side-channel.” We want to send serial data over this link, however I do not see much detail in the datasheet nor in the PurePath Wireless Configuratior tool detailing what is possible.
- Does TI have source code examples for the data side-channel
- Can the SPI MOSI/MISO pins be used as an interface to the CC8520’s data side-channel, is that correct?
- Can the USB-HID interface be used in conjunction with the data side-channel as well?
