Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1120
Hello,
I am interested in employing the CC1120 for a 169MHz telemetry application.
Is the 169MHz band legal for use in the USA by the FCC?
Also, does TI make a product for 27MHz?
Thanks,
Jay Zebryk

Hi Jay, 169 MHz is not a license free band in USA. It might be possible to buy license a frequency here, but we have not investigated this. In the US, most of our customers use the 902-928MHz band. TI does not have integrated RF products that covers 27 MHz. 27 MHz products was used in toys and low RF range products, but this has to a large extent been replaced by 2.4 GHz solutions (BLE and proprietary). We have some "soon to come" new products that can be used to solve these applications, see more here: https://news.ti.com/new-bluetooth-le-wireless-mcus-make-high-quality-rf-and-power-performance-more-affordable
