Hi,
Is there are any way to drive segment LCD using GPIOs? if yes its possible to drive 3COM and 1/3 bias LCD.
Thank you in advance .

Hi Staneslouse,
Please check if this example is useful for you. It uses the SPI driver to drive an LCD display.

Sid
I tend to say "no" since supporting 1/3 bias will be a challenge since the GPIOs are designed to be digital outputs and to generate 1/3 you would need a resistor ladder between IOs. Are you place, price or current constraint in your design?
Hi Sid,
I'm really looking for Segment type LCD, I can see an app note from TI (https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tidubq7a/tidubq7a.pdf?ts=1698413400808&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.google.com%252F ) . could you please advice me is this only for 4COM LCDs or can it used for 3COMs?
Kind regards,
Staneslouse
yea, currently we using 3COM 1/3 biasing LCD so I'm looking any possibility to use same display without any driving ICs.

Stanes
Hi Staneslouse,
Please make sure there are no whitespaces in the path to the SDK or the CCS workspace. This could be the issue with discovering the makefile.

Sid
Hi Staneslouse,
Currently there are no plans to update this.
