CC1312R7: TI's WiSUN solution interoperability with Silicon Labs Border Router

Hi,

As the title suggests, I want to make a coap node from the Simplelink Lowpower F2 SDK v7.40 connect with the Silicon Lab's SoC Border Router example, both using FAN 1.1. I've tried changing the certificates on wisun_certificates.h to the same values present under Silicon's Wisun SoC Ping endpoint, however, it seems like both devices aren't even communicating with each other (no change on the led Blink rate). What should I do to make both stacks interoperable?

Hi Arthur,

I've made the following changes to application.c, for testing purposes.

Since the connection state isn't even changing, this could indicate that the RN is staying on active scan mode under wait_till_connect. Maybe there could be a difference between radio configurations?

Just double checking now, but are you making use of any FAN 1.1 features in that network ? (Leaf Node and such)

I'm not using features like sleepy nodes and such, only a metering-like application with CoAP

Hi Thiago,

I now realized that this Silabs device may be using the OFDM PHY of the 1.1 specification, which explains why you do not even see it changing connection state.

Do you have the possibility to switch to a FSK PHY on your other device? Or switch to a FAN 1.0 mode? Here are more explainations.
