CC1352R: Max Transmission Power of CC1352R with and without external Power Amplifier in Sub Giga Hz Transmission

Part Number: CC1352R
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1352P

Tool/software:

Dear Concern,

Kindly let us know what will be the maximum Transmission Power of CC1352R with and without external Power Amplifier in case of Sub Giga Hz Transmission. Also if possible please refer a design reference to integrate external power amplifier with CC1352R

Regards,

Nitish.

  • The CC1352R has an output power of 14dBm from the sub-GHz PA. If higher output power is needed then the CC1352P is another option. The CC1352P has a high power PA that can transmit at 20 dBm.

Here you can find the Launchpads which can be used as reference designs:

What output power are you looking for?

  • Please clarify when you have stted as "The CC1352R has an output power of 14dBm from the sub-GHz PA" does it means that we will get 14dBm without using an external Power Amplifier or to get 14dBm we need external power amplified in case of CC1352R.

We cant use CC1352P as the Wireless MBus stack is not released by Texas Instrument and hence we were advised to use CC1352R .

Our requirement is to use it for Wireless MBus as well as WiSun.

In regards to your question "What output power are you looking for?" , our requirement is 30dBm , however with 20 we can design our inferrrior version of device .  Can you suggest a chipset from TI where we can get 30dBm and can communicate on Wireless MBUS and WiSun. ?
