CC1312R: How to load wireless MBus application to CC1312R?

Dear contact,

We are using CC1312 in our device to be used for wireless M-Bus metering solution (Meter-Collector).

To start our testing and checking we bought CC1310 LaunchPad to test with our device.

We need you pleade to guide us on how to load the wireless MBus solution on CC1312 on our device? What are the needed tools?

We installed CCS, and also SmartRF. We downloaded also wmbus-cc13xx-rtos-2.0.0, but we don't have any idea on how to load the application to our CC1312 module.

Note:

CC1312 is connected to our device through a UART and we want to manage the wireless MBus module using the serial port.

In the documentation of wmbus-cc13xx-rtos-2.0.0 we read about implemented wMBus, but we need to know how to load it into our devices.

TI does not have a wmbus solution for CC1312, only CC1310 and CC1350.

Can you please check this file, in it you mentioned that CC13xx supports wMBus!

It is correct that is says CC13xx. When this document was written TI only had the CC1310 and the CC1350 devices, and we used the term CC13xx to cover both these devices. Unfortuntley this was not changed to CC13x0 when we released the CC13x2 devices, even if it should. However, the documents states that the wmbus patch is for the SimpleLink™ CC13x0 Software Development Kit (and not CC13x2), and the WMBUS page that I referred to also states that the solution is for CC1310 and CC1350 (no mentioning of CC13x2).

Ok,
We will switch to CC1310,

My question is, can we load the applicaion to CC1310 chip without using device programmer, I mean using UART for example.

I need you please to guide me on how to load any application on the chip which was already soldered to the device.

You need to download the code using the XDS110 debugger on the Launchpads.

This is the case for CC1310 Launchpads and what about the CC1310F128 which is used in our device? How to load the applications to it?

Note that the stack you can download from the web is for the LP so that if you are using you own HW you most likely will need to modify the board files etc. to map to your HW.
