Hi,

I am using CC1350 Launchpad powered through XDS110(type AB micro cable). I have loaded the pinStandby Simple Link CC13x0 SDK example code.

I am measuring the Current by connecting a 100ohm resistor across Vsense and getting the voltage as 100mV, which means the current is 1mA, which is too much during the standby mode.

I cannot see any change in the current after the standbyDuration as seen in the DSO.

In some examples i noticed i should disable the sensor tags, since i've not used any sensor, I think there is no issue coz of the sensors.

Which hardware are you using, you are writing both STK and Launchpad.

The STK have sensors, the launchpad not to simplify some.

- Why 100 ohm? The normal is 1 ohm to avoid too large IR drop over it that could impact the measurement.

- What do you mean by "across Vsense", Vsense is only connected to the level shifters and not to the DUT?

1. I used 1ohm at first, didnt see any change in the current reading, so decided to change it to 100ohm.

2. so where should i check the measurement?

I connected the resistor as shown in the above pic.

I would advice to take a look at the schematics for the launchpad to see what is powered from what. The best way is to remove all jumpers on the pin row to the left for the jtag connectors in the picture. Then you can attach the power to the 3V3 pin on the bottom of the launchpad. This way you are secured that the XDS110 section will not impact the results.
