CC3220R: Error code -2027 Returned from MQTTClient_connect

Hi,

Running code similar to the example mqtt_client_CC3220S_LAUNCHXL_tirtos_ccs on cc3220R. However when running MQTT_IF_Connect() I can see that MQTTClient_connect() is returning the error value -2027. What does this error code means?

Actually there is no such error.

can you see inside MQTT_IF_Connect() and see where it is failing?

Does the same code work on CC3220S?

Hi,

There is missing initialisation of SlNet layer and from this reason is returned code SLNETERR_RET_CODE_NO_INIT (-2027). Missing call of SlNetSock_init(). But I am not sure what is exact place where is initialisation called(ti_net_SlNet_initConfig()?), because I don't use Sysconfig.

Tomas, you can look under the SDK at \docs\ns\NS_Users_Guide.html.

You should be able to see the following:

make sure you initialize properly.
