LP-CC1352P7: -1 launchpad. Running the zstack examples.

Part Number: LP-CC1352P7

Is it possible to run the zstack examples from the sdk on the LP-CC1352P7-1 variant launchpad?  (understanding that the rf power will be low)

The examples all seem for the -4 LP. And I can't seem to easily change the zstack RF design cfg over to the -1.

Thanks!

  • Hello Henry Ott,

To use zstack examples on the device it depends on your PA matching circuit:
for the CC1352P7-1: Sub-1 GHz PA support for +20 dBm
for the CC1352P7-4: 2.4 GHz PA support for +10 dBm

It is possible to use the normal TX/RX path (i.e. +5 dBm) for stack protocols on either. You would just build a CC1352P7-X example with high PA disabled and then load it onto the other LaunchPad version. I hope this helps!

    Thanks,
    Alex F

  • Thank you,

I was trying to reconfigure the entire rf front end. It did not occur to me to simply disable the PA.

This should be fine for my testing.
