Hello,

My end devices are showing  as routers in sniffer log,

I have only 4 routers in my network-0xc2ae,0x7444,0x844e,0x9eef

Rest of the devices are end device but still so many end devices are showing as routers.

please refer attached sniffer log.end device showing as router 2.rar

  • Can you elaborate your question using a specific packet number and device short address?
  • 0x9eef,0xcec2,0xf448,0xf47b,0x743c,0xd2bc,0xf01e,0xdc21,0x06e9
these are the short address of the device which should show as end devices but they are showing as routers.
  • Can you use 0x9eef as example to tell me where do you see it shows as router?
  • please ignore 0x9eef that is actually router.

But please consider 0xcec2 that is my end device but it showing as router in ubiqua graphic view .

similar you can see  other short address(0xcec2,0xf448,0xf47b,0x743c,0xd2bc,0xf01e,0xdc21,0x06e9) also in ubiqua graphic view.

    please find attached snapshot.

  • I think it's bug of Ubiqua. I have old version and don't see this issue.
  • I have checked with Ubiqua support team, please find below response-
    ---------------------------------------------------------
After looking at your file in a quick manual search this is what we found:

0xcec2 is marked as ZR because it is part of the Link Status List of 0x9EEF (Packet 7105) If this is an end device then it should not be listed there.

0x743C, is marked as ZR because it is part of the Link Status List of 0x9EEF (Packet 1016)

0x06E0 and 0xdc21 are marked as ZR because it is part of the Link Status List of 0x7444 (Packet 6676)

0xD2BC is marked as ZR because it is part of the Link Status List of 0x9EEF (Packet 6816)

0xF448 and 0xF47B are marked as ZR because it is part of the Link Status List of 0x9EEF (Packet 7105)

0xF01E is marked as ZR because it is part of the Link Status List of 0x7444 (Packet 16712)

  • So, what is your device with short address 0x9EEF and 0x7444?
  • these are routers
  • Had you ever configure those device as router and join the two routers to cause this issue? I suggest you to erase and download FW to all of routers and devices to test again.
  • I have configured
0xcec2 ,0x743C,0x06E0 , 0xdc21 ,0xD2BC,0xF448 ,0xF47B,0xF01E as ZED only because (in Z-stack 1.2.2a there is core layer available for only end device config ).(so there is no possibility to configure in router mode)
I have observed during my testing , this scenario occurs frequently that ZED are showing as Routers in Ubiqua.
I have tried erase & flash and start a new network. But this issue occurs sometimes(Not always).
  • If you only join these end devices to coordinator and don’t use any routers, do you still see the same issue?
  • I will test that scenario and give you an update.
