Looking for the device like INA226 with analog out

Hi,

My customer is looking for the device which is like INA226 with analog out.

Do you know such kind of devices who has both I2C and analog out? 

Though I researched them, I could not find, to my regret.

    Takumi,

    I don't believe we have any devices that are both analog and I2C output.  Would the customer be willing to use two devices?  We could use an analog output current shunt monitor and an ADC with I2C output to accomplish this task.


    May I know more about the application and why both analog and digital output are desired?

    I understood that TI does not have such kind of devices.

    The application of the customer is Medical equipment. (Sorry, the detail is unkown...)

    The customer said that,

          - Only I2C : we cannot measure "inrush current" .

          - Only analog : we cannot record "log data" when power on.

    That is why the customer needs both I2C and analog.

    As TI does not have the device, could you recommend me analog I/F device to propose the customer?

    Or if you have another solution, please let me know.

    Takumi,

    in order to make a good recommendation, I would like to know a bit more about the application. Is it a high side or low side configuration, and what is the intended common mode? how fast does the customer need to sample the output voltage and what is the minimum and maximum current they expect to measure? is there a cost or package size requirement?

    I will try to get the information again.

    By the way, do you know the competitors' information about such kind of devices?

    Takumi,

    I don't know about any similar competitive products.  The INA226 can sample its internal ADC every 144uS.  If that isn't a fast enough digital sampling rate, then they will need a current shunt monitor separate from a faster ADC.

    Yes, I am telling your proposal to the customer.

    The customer is going to use INA226 as a stand-alone.
