Current Sense Monitor about current some questions

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA250

How to know the current sense monitor measure minimum current?

I want to Know INA250  input minimum current?

  • Hi Eric,

At low current levels, systematic and random errors start to play a dominant role in the measurement results. Such errors include offset, drift, CMR/PSR, noise for the CSM device itself. The tolerance of percentage error determines the lowest current you want to measure and will be different for each design.

For INA250, the dominant error source would be offset and it is specified in the Electrical Table. Using IN250A1as an example, it has a current offset spec of +/-100mA. If we measure a 100mA current with INA250A1, it will interpret the input current, due to offset alone, possibly as small as 0mA or as big as 200mA, and anything in between.
