Foot print error

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: XTR300

The XTR300 has VQFN footprint, when download the footprint on TI website(Quality and packaging Tab), I found that the footprint was not matching the parameters in the datasheet of XTR300.

The distance between pin 19 and 20 is 0.5mm (Altium) ,but it is 0.65mm in the datasheet:

  • Hello,

Could you share the link to the page where you downloaded the footprint from?  We'll take a look and get the page updated.  The datasheet shows the correct dimensions with a distance of 0.65mm between the pins.  Is it possible that there are a few VQFN versions and there is another one with a 0.65mm spacing?  The XTR300 is in the "VQFN (RGW)" package.

It looks like you may be using Altium to do your PCB layout, consider using TIPD155 to get a jump start with your XTR300 design.  TIPD155 uses two XTR300 devices and a dual-channel DAC to create a two-channel universal analog output module capable of voltage outputs of +/-5V, 0-5V, +/-10V, 0-10V, and current outputs of +/-24mA, +/-20mA, 0-20mA, 0-24mA, 4-20mA.

  • Hello,

The link I download the package is as following:
