OPA547: Protection Diodes

The data sheet seems to indicate that the inputs of OPA547 have protection diodes, but there are no current limit parameters listed in the data sheet. I have recommended that the customer limit the input current to < 1mA in an under or over-voltage situation, but they have asked for the ratings on these diodes.Are they +/- 20mA?

Hi Richard,

The OPA548 design review from 1995 states that "all inputs use standard ESD devices" which for products developed during that time meant current steering diodes connected from the input, to each supply rail. Nearly all our op amp products using that ESD protection plan are rated for 10 mA dc continuous. There isn't any reason for it to be different for the OPA548.
