Hamamatsu APD with TI THS4304

I'm trying to use the Hamamatsu G8931-04 APD with the THS4304.

I have the eval board and using the inverting input at the Gain 1.

I am operating the APD at or near breakdown.

The 4304 seems to be loading the APD down.

I am operating the APD in reverse bias with a 10k load going to the 4304.

I can get around 100vm out of the APD by itself but when connected to the 4304 it goes to about 10mv.

I tried the non-inverting at the gain 2 and no loading but I have a 150mv offset due to the 10k input.

I'd like to use the inverting input can anyone help with any idea on what might be causing this?

    Hello George,

    I dont quite understand what you mean by "I am operating the APD in reverse bias with a 10k load going to the 4304." Is 10k the feedback resistor across the THS4304?

    Can you please send me a schematic of your circuit and annotate how you tested it and the results you got.
