ONET2591TA: transimpedance amplifier for 140V reverse biased apd

Part Number: ONET2591TA

Hello. I was wondering if one could use the ONET2591TA with an apd reverse biased at 140 V and avoid using the filter pin by connecting it to ground. I was also wondering if there are any newer/better transimpedance amplifier circuits available for reaching above 1 GHz that would allow me to reverse bias the apd at 140 V. Thanks for the help.

  • Hi,

I think you should be able to use the ONET2591TA with an APD reverse biased at 140V and without using the filter pin. As a result, there will be no DC current reading on the RSSI pin.

A higher speed version than the ONET2591TA would be the ONET8501T that operates at 11.3Gbps.

    Best Regards,
    Rohit
