Looking for a High capacitance, Low Vos, Rail-Rail, +/-15v OP-amp

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM8261, LM7332

I have a need to drive a low frequency (<1MHz) analog signal over about 6 feet of cable so I am looking for a suitable solution.  The parameters that I have been focusing on, and appear to be mutually exclusive and in some cases (Unity Gain Stable) not part of the parameter search.

* Vos (max) < 5mV

* Rail to Rail I/O

* Vs +/- 15v

* High Cap/Current drive

* Unity Gain Stable  (Gain will be set to 1:1 or 1.5:1)

  The closest that I have come is with the LM8261 or the LM7332, but neither of them list Unity gain stability as a feature.

  Suggestions / comments are appreciated.

  • Hi Phil,

    The LM8261 and LM7332 are untiy-gain stable. They were originally designed for TFT buffers - which are very capacitive loads (nF's). Both datasheets have graphs showing Av=+1 (follower) waveforms.

    Assuming ~30pF/ft, that is 180pF, which should not be a problem. But I would still include at least a series 10-50 ohm resistor on the output to reduce reflections.

    Regards,
