TMS320TCI6614: Can SRIO between two TCI6614 hot plug?

Part Number: TMS320TCI6614

Customer use 2 TCI6614 connect with SRIO, ask whether can hot plug the SRIO between TCI6614?

Below post discussed it is not possible between C6678 and another device. but this case is between two same devices.

I've notified the factory team.
In my opinion they shouldn't use hotplug.

What are you trying to accomplish? Perhaps you could use another peripheral such as Hyperlink.

In our application, two Boards (one 6614 in one Board)will be used together and the communication ports between two 6614 is SRIO . Both 6614 Boards should support hotplug.

There are too many lines are used in Hyperlink, so it is not the best choice as the Communication ports across the board.

And if the Hyperlink support hotplug ???

Hi Tony,

To my knowledge K1/K2 EVMs do not support hotplug - I don't see it referenced in any of the specs. Perhaps there's an adapter of some kind, but this is not my area of expertise.

Hi Tony,
As stated in the post you originally referenced, the KeyStone devices were not designed to for hot swap. Including a devices such as the TLK10002 in the serdes link may add that capibility. The TLK10002 is designed with hot swap protection that does not exist in the TCI6614.
